Hello, I’m Eddie Doran, an artist and art instructor living in Ireland. I was born in Dublin and trained as an illustrator in advertising. About thirty years ago I resigned from full time employment in the textile industry in order to pursue my career as a self employed artist.

In the years since then, I’ve honed my skills working in a broad range of creative areas including, graphic design, mural painting, illustrative art and more.

I began my career training as a layout artist/illustrator in the various Dublin advertising agencies. Moving to England in the 70’s led to a number of different jobs including decorating reproduction antiques. While designing sets for various drama groups I began acting and directing. It was at this time that I began to hone my teaching skills, conducting drama workshops.

Since the mid 80’s I have been involved in art education within the community. I have facilitated workshops and training courses for numerous organisations, including South Dublin County Council and the V.E.C. As well as teaching, I now accept commissions on a wide range of projects. So, welcome to my website.
